BEACHES

Beautiful Sandy Beaches of Toronto

Ashbridge’s Bay

If you are near the east end of Toronto, visit Ashbridge’s Bay. Here you can relax on the sandy beach, take a stroll along the Woodbine Beach Boardwalk, or swim in Lake Ontario. Thinking about how to spend your weekend? How about a picnic, bird watching, skateboarding or hiking at Ashbridges Bay?

According to their website, Ashbridges Bay was once part of the large sand dune chain spanning the majority of the Toronto Harbour. These dunes were the result of sediment from the Scarborough Bluffs being deposited by the currents from Lake Ontario.
